He worked already in the 1970´with Canadian National and Olympic coaches using his Sport Psychology program ”Train the Trainer”, which in the 1980´s was combined with the Swedish Mental Training. He was then recruited by the Malaysian Olympic Committée and worked with top athletes and coaches for 15 years, after which he turned to the business area. Professor at Utah State University in USA and the most known applied Sport Psychologist in USA. He has been to more Olympics and World Championships as a Mental Trainer than anyone in the world. Besides his appreciated work with doctoral students at the University, his work in AAASP (American Alliance of Applied Sport Psychology) and his 30 year affiliation with the US Olympic Committée, he is also a mental trainer for some of the world top golfers. Professor emeritus at Panjab University in India. President of the Asia Pacific Association of Psychology and of the Society for Applied Psychology. Professor at Ottawa University in Canada is probably the internationally most known Sport Psychologist in the world. President of Scandinavian International University and the founding President of the International Society for Mental Training and Excellence. Uneståhl has been a visiting professor to Universities in many countries ans has served as the President for World Congresses in – Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine (1973), Sport Psychology (1985), Mental Training (1991 and 2003) and Excellence (2008 and 2011). He has worked with the Olympic Committées in 12 countries, has published 21 books and many articles.
